Position Overview

Salary: $18.00 per hour

We are currently looking for dedicated individuals to fill part-time positions as Personal Support Specialists. Various shifts are available from 10 AM to 12 AM.

Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid driver's license, be at least 19 years old, and have a reliable, insured vehicle with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
  • Access to a computer or smartphone is essential.
  • Dependability and reliability are crucial.
  • Willingness to complete ongoing paid training.
  • Attendance at staff meetings is required.
  • Documentation of each shift worked is necessary.
  • Effective communication with team members is important.
  • A positive attitude and self-motivation are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, including cooking, cleaning, laundry, budgeting, banking, shopping, and maintaining health and hygiene.
  • Facilitate participation in community events and recreational activities (e.g., concerts, sports events, art classes, etc.).
  • Support individuals in achieving their personal goals through tailored approaches.
  • Assist with problem-solving as needed.
  • Encourage physical activity and exercise.
  • Maintain communication with Program Coordinators, supervisors, and other staff members.
  • Work independently in an apartment setting while being self-motivated.
  • Document and track progress towards goals.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Starting wage: $18.00/DOE
  • Paid training provided.
  • Opportunity for a 50-cent wage increase within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Potential for periodic wage adjustments.
  • Possibility of earning a referral bonus.
  • Eligibility for PTO after one year of employment.
