Overview:

We are looking for a proficient and adaptable Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Field Engineer to enhance our operations at Leader Recruitment Group.
The ideal candidate should have a robust background in electrical and instrumentation systems, demonstrating expertise in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial equipment. In addition to proficiency in PLC programming and SCADA systems integration, the successful individual will also offer mechanical support for operational needs.


Key Responsibilities:

Installation:

● Execute the installation, configuration, and calibration of electrical and instrumentation systems, including wiring, control systems, sensors, and transmitters.
● Ensure all installations adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.

Commissioning:

● Carry out start-up procedures for new equipment and systems, confirming their correct and efficient operation.
● Perform functional tests and troubleshooting to validate system performance and integrity.

Maintenance and Servicing:

● Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for electrical and instrumentation equipment.
● Conduct routine inspections and predictive maintenance tasks to identify potential issues before they escalate.

Troubleshooting and Repair:

● Diagnose and rectify electrical and instrumentation faults, ensuring minimal operational downtime.
● Utilize technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues.

Mechanical Support:

● Provide mechanical assistance for plant equipment, including rotating machinery, pumps, and compressors.
● Aid in the mechanical installation and maintenance of equipment, ensuring proper alignment and operation.

PLC and SCADA Systems:

● Possess a foundational understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) to troubleshoot and diagnose issues.
● Ensure the integration of PLCs with plant control systems and SCADA systems.

SCADA Integration:

● Implement and maintain SCADA systems for remote monitoring and control of plant processes.
● Ensure data integrity and system reliability for efficient operations.

Documentation and Reporting:

● Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for installed systems, including wiring diagrams, schematics, and user manuals.
● Update maintenance logs, service reports, and calibration records.

Compliance and Safety:

● Follow all safety protocols and regulatory requirements during installation, maintenance, and servicing activities.
● Ensure compliance with environmental and industry standards.

Team Collaboration and Training:

● Collaborate closely with other engineers, technicians, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution and operational efficiency.
● Coordinate activities with management and production teams to minimize disruptions.

Training and Support:

● Provide training and technical support to personnel on the operation and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems.
● Mentor junior engineers and technicians, promoting knowledge transfer and skill development.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
● Relevant certifications in electrical and instrumentation.
● Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the installation, commissioning, and servicing of electrical and instrumentation systems in an industrial context.
● Experience with PLC programming, SCADA systems, and mechanical maintenance of plant equipment.

Technical Skills:

● Proficiency in electrical and instrumentation installation, calibration, and troubleshooting.
● Knowledge of PLC programming languages and SCADA integration.
● Familiarity with mechanical systems and ability to provide mechanical support as required.
