Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Development and Implementation
    • Design, develop, and implement projects to ensure the plant operates safely, reliably, and cost-effectively.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Maintenance and Training
    • Develop and maintain procedures and processes for electrical apparatuses, instrumentation, and controls.
    • Provide training and support to maintenance personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Technical Support
    • Provide technical support to the maintenance supervisor and other stakeholders to ensure safety, environmental compliance, reliability, quality, efficiency, and cost control.
    • Collaborate with maintenance personnel to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Planning and Prioritization
    • Plan and prioritize activities to ensure timely completion of projects and tasks.
    • Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure that work is completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in a control engineer, automation engineer, instrumentation engineering, or electrical engineering role.
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Ability to program PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
    • Experience and knowledge of pH, flow, temperature, pressure, conductivity, and mass measurements.
    • Experience with electrical heat tracing, AC and DC control methods, 24V-13.8KV electrical systems, and troubleshooting.
    • Knowledge of VFDs, smart meters, PLC/DCS control methods, automated systems, control valves, one-line electrical diagrams, blueprint reading, mathematics, and preventive/predictive maintenance technologies.
  • Work Environment
    • Experience working in a PSM/RMP facility.
    • Experience working at a chemical, pharmaceutical, or medical manufacturer is a plus.
