General Overview: This position involves overseeing skilled tasks related to the repair and maintenance of plant process control systems, electrical distribution networks, and communication infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervises a team of Electrical Instrument and Testing Mechanics.
- Calculates necessary materials and labor, orders supplies, and keeps accurate records.
- Ensures that all workshop equipment is current and maintains a safe working environment.
- Accountable for the maintenance and care of tools and equipment.
- Completes assigned responsibilities as directed.
This role requires working with industrial machinery, mechanical systems, and exposure to varying weather conditions.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:- Extensive understanding of electronic and mechanical process instrumentation.
- Proficient in testing and calibrating electrical distribution systems.
- Skilled in utilizing computers for equipment setup and upkeep.
- Expertise in the repair and calibration of PLCs.
- Competent in handling various tools and equipment.
A high school diploma or equivalent, along with six years of experience in electronic process instrumentation repair and calibration.
Substitution Policy:Additional experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements. Completion of formal training programs may also substitute for experience.
Promotional Criteria:- One year of service as an Electrical Instrument and Testing Mechanic Leadman or two years as an Electrical Instrument and Testing Mechanic is required.
- Civil service status in relevant classifications is necessary.
