Job Overview

Alliance Group Technologies is seeking a skilled Instrumentation and Electrical Maintenance Specialist. The primary goal of this role is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and calibration of industrial instrumentation and control systems.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for significant failures.
  • Identify and address chronic issues with instrumentation assets.
  • Assist in planning and estimating costs for instrumentation-related work during turnarounds.
  • Research and implement new technologies and specify new instrumentation systems.
  • Provide training and development for new and existing instrumentation specialists.
  • Lead the implementation and compliance of Procal (Instrumentation Calibration/Asset Management Software) within the facility.
  • Support FDA and cGMP validation processes for instrumentation systems.
  • Analyze equipment performance data to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Offer on-site or remote guidance to plant or contract personnel to ensure safe and effective operations.
  • Address high-impact issues with urgency and integrity.

This position involves a mix of office and fieldwork. The candidate must be adaptable to various weather conditions and capable of accessing elevated electrical and mechanical equipment using ladders, scaffolding, man-lifts, and crane baskets.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associate's Degree or Engineering Technology Degree in Instrumentation/Electronics with a minimum of 5 years of experience in maintaining instrumentation systems in an industrial setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in the installation, troubleshooting, repair, testing, and calibration of industrial instrumentation systems.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices for industrial instrumentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Proven capability to work independently and lead or participate in teams.
  • Experience as a self-starter who effectively manages multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in standard software applications (MS Office, Email, etc.).

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Understanding of regulatory and industrial standards and codes.
  • Familiarity with process control systems in an industrial environment.
  • Experience with Asset Management systems such as Infor EAM and Procal.
