Amentum is seeking an Intermediate Systems Engineer to provide essential support for the Tactical Intelligence Targeting Access Node (TITAN) product line. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive systems and software engineering expertise to enhance the capabilities of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Deliver systems and software engineering assistance for the TITAN product line, emphasizing the skills necessary to evaluate and analyze intricate systems and their integration into future military strategic or tactical frameworks.

+ Offer software engineering support throughout the complete software life cycle for the product line.

+ Provide systems engineering services and expert guidance to validate technical and operational solutions.

+ Develop test protocols, cases, and scenarios to measure effectiveness and performance, ensuring thorough testing to validate vendor solutions. Document findings from test events.

+ Coordinate engineering assessments for system configurations and operational documentation, and review technical documentation provided by vendors.

+ Draft technical requirements, engineering documents, configuration management documents, and troubleshooting guidelines.

+ Contribute systems engineering insights to acquisition documentation, including Statements of Work (SOWs), specifications, and government documentation.

+ Possess knowledge of systems and network security, auditing, and user authentication.

+ Report vendor software defects, assist in prioritizing vendor issues, and facilitate configuration control boards and engineering assessments.

+ Support the development and evaluation of Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and other documentation as required by government stakeholders.

+ Provide requirements management and system architecture expertise to ensure traceability of requirements and maintain adequate system architecture documentation, along with risk management to document and mitigate system risks.

+ Assist in tracking, managing, and procuring hardware and software items, and contribute to the development of training support documentation.

Required Skills & Experience:

+ Detail-oriented with strong technical, verbal, and written communication abilities.

+ Experience in administering systems within Windows, Linux, and VMWare environments.

+ Background in intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions.

+ Familiarity with the use and testing of ISR software systems.

+ Understanding or experience with technologies such as RF Systems, Computing Systems, ISR Sensors, and Software Development (Python, C#, C++, etc.).

Required Clearance:

+ An active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.

Qualifications:

+ A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Systems, Software, or Computer Engineering; Computer Science; Mechanical Engineering; or a related field is required.

+ A minimum of ten years of direct experience in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of information technology systems is required.

Travel:

+ Minimal travel is anticipated for this position, which may include locations within and outside the continental United States.

Work Environment:

This role may be performed in various settings, including commercial and government offices, test and integration laboratories, and government facilities.

Physical Demands:

Physical requirements for this position include the ability to:

+ Move independently.

+ Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.

+ Endure extended periods of sitting and computer use.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, typically Monday through Friday, with flexibility around core hours.
