Job Summary:

DCS Corp is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to provide technical expertise to a US Army Product Manager in developing products and systems for fielding to warfighters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development, review, and approval of DoDI acquisition documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Review and approve product and end-item requirements, ensuring alignment with system performance engineering specifications and system interface control documents.
  • Support the review of product risk development and mitigation activities, identifying and addressing potential risks.
  • Review and approve Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), System Engineering Plans (SEP), Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP), Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASP), Performance Work Statements (PWS), Cybersecurity Strategy Plans, and Acquisition Strategy Plans.
  • Participate in program reviews, system engineering technical reviews (System Requirements Review thru Physical Configuration Audit), and technical interchange meetings with the government and suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Army Product Management development personnel and Program Officer Executive level personnel.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop performance specifications and interface control documents.
  • Stay up-to-date with DoD systems engineering concepts, execution of systems engineering technical reviews, and verification and validation testing.
  • Utilize requirements management tools, such as DOORS, and risk management tools, such as Project Recon or similar tools.
  • Familiarize yourself with DoDI Defense Acquisition System regulations and DAU weapon system development process.
  • Travel up to 10% of the time to support program requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 8 years of experience in weapon system development activities, including product design and analysis, product development, testing and data analysis, requirement verification and validation analysis.
  • DoD Secret clearance.
  • Ability to interface with different levels and expertise of Army Product Management development personnel and Program Officer Executive level personnel.
  • Experience developing performance specifications and interface control documents.
  • Knowledge of DoD systems engineering concepts, execution of systems engineering technical reviews, and verification and validation testing.
  • Knowledge of requirements management using DOORS.
  • Knowledge of risk management using Project Recon or similar tool.
  • Familiar with DoDI Defense Acquisition System regulations and DAU weapon system development process.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree.
  • Experience working in an Army Product or Project Manager organization.
