Position Summary: The Senior Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting government operations at a designated location. This position involves engaging in systems engineering practices and contributing to various engineering activities, including development, testing, and configuration management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement systems engineering methodologies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Offer engineering insights for activities related to development, testing, evaluation, training, and configuration management.
  • Provide expertise in transport and networking architecture, focusing on current and future tactical network capabilities.
  • Participate in design reviews and conduct comprehensive technical evaluations of network performance and architectures.
  • Support Capability Set (CS) and Integrated Tactical Network (ITN) initiatives.
  • Assist in the evaluation and integration of new technologies to enhance communication systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with various organizations, including PEO C3T and other Army stakeholders, to address interoperability considerations.
  • Analyze acquisition documentation and translate requirements into cost-effective technical solutions.
  • Review performance work statements and contractor proposals for technical compliance.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in:
    • Network engineering and design.
    • LAN and VLAN implementation.
    • Routing protocols and configurations.
    • Network protocol analysis tools.
    • Virtualization technologies.
    • Commercial communications equipment.
    • Transport and network architectures.
    • End-to-end network design.
    • Voice/data transmission systems.
    • RF engineering.
    • Tactical communications systems.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in engineering, testing, or a related field is required.

Experience: A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in tactical network systems engineering is essential.

Clearance: Candidates selected for this position will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active United States Department of Defense Secret clearance is mandatory.
