Job Title: General Manager

At Diamond Baseball Holdings Llc, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our team to success. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of management and sales success, with a strong background in ballpark operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to drive revenue growth and sales.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in the community to ensure long-term success.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of operational systems, including ticketing systems, customer database systems, and IT needs.
  • Work closely with the team President and DBH executive team to drive business growth and success.
  • Manage the daily business and sales operations of the team, including forecasting and overseeing the annual operations budget.
  • Develop and implement sponsorship revenue strategies to support the team.
  • Establish and monitor goals and objectives for all areas of operations to create a results-driven atmosphere.
  • Manage and supervise all merchandising strategies, including sales related to stadium events and rentals.
  • Develop inventive ideas to create or increase overall ballpark revenue streams for the team.
  • Act as a spokesperson for the team and stadium with the press and the public.
  • Provide a unique and exciting experience to fans of the team.
  • Manage any customer concerns, expectations, and issues as they come up.
  • Work with MLB and the Toronto Blue Jays on baseball operations matters.
  • Act as a leader, manager, and mentor to all staff that works on the team.
  • Recruit and hire staff, train new staff on operational and sales processes, and create a culture of high performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years' experience as a strong Assistant General Manager or General Manager with a proven track record of management and sales success.
  • Individual sales experience in sponsorship and ticketing with a proven track record.
  • Previous experience developing and managing an operating budget.
  • Superior communication skills.
  • Strong sales instincts and the ability to learn from others.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills.
  • The ability to work long hours, including weekends and holidays as necessary.
  • The ability to lead others to achieve while teaching them the whys and hows.
  • Recruiting and hiring experience.
  • Experience developing junior level team players.
  • Familiarity with computerized ticketing systems and all operational systems that run a ballpark.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Startup experiences a plus.

Physical Demands & Working Environment:

  • Required to work long hours standing and walking around.
  • Sitting, standing, walking, reaching with arms and hands, climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, or crouching are all a part of the position.
  • Must be able to handle weather-related elements such as rain and heat.
