Enrollment Representative II

This Enrollment Representative II role is a full-time position at BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, requiring 40 hours of work per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The position involves working at the Percival location and has the potential to become fully trained within six months.
Key Responsibilities- Process and manage subscriber and member enrollment applications, including new enrollments, terminations, cancellations, changes, and renewals.
- Update all electronic enrollment files and work with edit/error reports generated from membership transactions.
- Collaborate with multiple operational areas to ensure accurate group structure, status, benefits, and billing.
- Prepare and issue contracts, benefit books, and standard and custom ID cards.
- Respond to and resolve customer inquiries, and contact plan administrators and internal/external customers to resolve issues.
- Train new staff, update/maintain accurate desk procedures, and assist with problem resolution.
- Coordinate monthly billing and prepare monthly invoices, including printing, registering, and mailing bills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of customer service, administration/clerical support, or a combination of the two, with one year of experience in a membership/billing/accounts area (may be concurrent).
- Ability to acquire knowledge of the membership system.
- Good judgment, effective customer service, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in spelling, punctuation, and grammar skills.
- Ability to persuade, negotiate, or influence others.
- Analytical or critical thinking skills.
- Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Prior customer service experience.
- Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) proficiency.
