Clinical Nurse Specialist

Position Title: Registered Nurse II
Overview: The Registered Nurse II is responsible for delivering personalized, goal-oriented care to patients and their families, employing the principles and methodologies of the nursing process. This role involves providing safe and effective healthcare while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Educational Background: An Associate's Degree in Nursing is required, with a Bachelor's degree being highly preferred.
Licensure and Certifications: Candidates must possess a valid registered nurse license issued by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required for most nursing departments within the facility.
Physical and Mental Capabilities:
- Ability to perform duties while standing, sitting, and walking.
- Capability to work in various indoor and outdoor temperature conditions.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Good peripheral vision and hearing abilities.
- Capacity to manage stressful situations and work rotating shifts.
Additional Qualifications: A Bachelor of Nursing degree is preferred. Registered Nurses hired with an Associate or Diploma in nursing must enroll in an accredited BSN program within two years and complete the BSN degree within four years. A minimum of one year of experience as a registered nurse is required.

Work Schedule: 24 – 48 hours per every 6-week schedule, based on the selected tier.
