Position Title: Registered Nurse II

Overview: The Registered Nurse II is responsible for delivering personalized, goal-oriented care to patients and their families. This role involves utilizing the nursing process to provide safe and effective care while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Educational Requirements: An Associate's Degree in Nursing is required, with a Bachelor's degree being preferred.

Licensure and Certifications: Candidates must possess a valid nursing license from the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required for most nursing departments within the facility.

Physical and Mental Capabilities:

  • Ability to perform duties while standing, sitting, and walking.
  • Capability to work in various indoor and outdoor environments with temperature fluctuations.
  • Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
  • Good peripheral vision and hearing ability.
  • Capacity to manage stressful situations and work rotating shifts.

Additional Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred. Registered Nurses with an Associate or Diploma in Nursing must enroll in an accredited BSN program within two years and complete the degree within four years. A minimum of one year of nursing experience is required.
