Overview

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Supervisor to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a Nurse Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and leading a team of clinical staff.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and lead a team of clinical staff, including performance evaluations, scheduling, and training.
    • Make recommendations on employee hire, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, and terminations.
  • Patient Care and Operations
    • Plan, implement, and evaluate the clinical staffing needs to support patient care.
    • Assign clinical staff based on patient acuity, practice volume, staff qualifications, and department policy.
    • Monitor and address patient complaints, ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and patients to address and prevent problems.
    • Participate in the development and implementation of clinical performance standards.
  • Financial Management
    • Participate in the development and recommendation of operating and capital budgets.
    • Monitor expenditures for compliance with approved budgets.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
    • Current license as an RN in the State of Massachusetts.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS).
    • 3+ years of hands-on nursing experience.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Demonstrated knowledge of various software applications, such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
    • Problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate via written reports.
    • Proficient with communication, team building, and organizational skills.
