Additionally, current employees may receive a $1,000 referral bonus for successfully referring new hires.

Program Overview:

This initiative is designed to attract qualified candidates for various nursing roles within the Department of State (DOS). Eligible positions include Advanced Practice Nurse, Nurse Consultant, Nursing Supervisor, Compliance Nurse, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, and Certified Nursing Assistant.

Incentive Details:

  • Recruitment bonuses will be distributed in quarterly payments over the first year of employment, commencing after the initial quarter. New hires must commit to two consecutive years of service with DOS.
  • Referral bonuses of $1,000 will also be paid in quarterly installments for the referred candidates' first year of employment.

Position Summary:

This role encompasses various levels of practical nursing care, with responsibilities reporting to a technical supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor and document vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
  • Dispense, document, and manage medications.
  • Provide prescribed intramuscular and subcutaneous injections.
  • Observe and report changes in patient conditions to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records on patient charts.

Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the following criteria based on the level of Practical Nurse:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse I: Must possess a Delaware Practical Nurse license, temporary license, or multi-state compact license.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse II: Must possess a Delaware Practical Nursing license or multi-state compact license, along with a minimum of six months of practical nursing experience.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse III: Must possess a Delaware Practical Nursing license or multi-state compact license, along with at least eighteen months of practical nursing experience.

Employment Conditions:

This position is part of a collective bargaining agreement and requires legal authorization to work in the United States. The State of Delaware participates in the Federal E-Verify system.
