We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health, a leading provider of behavioral health services in Norfolk, Virginia.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to children and adolescents with behavioral and mental health concerns. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring patient behavior and physiological status.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and develop effective care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or compact authority.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with active licensure and registration by the Virginia Board of Nurse Examiners.
- Experience in behavioral health, preferably in a pediatric or adolescent setting.
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health principles, therapeutic relationships, and crisis management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
