Job Overview

Building Industry Partners, through its portfolio company Endeavor Fire Protection, is seeking a seasoned Vice President of Service to lead our service division. This pivotal role encompasses overseeing service revenue and fostering growth across all operational regions in the continental United States.

The Vice President of Service will embody a servant leadership style, playing a crucial role in aligning the service division with the broader organizational goals. This strategic position requires collaboration with the CEO, Regional Vice Presidents, and senior leadership to enhance service excellence and customer satisfaction while driving sales revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute strategies aimed at increasing service and sales revenue across diverse regional markets.
  • Guide and mentor a team of Operating Company Presidents, ensuring they meet performance and financial objectives.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with key clients and stakeholders to promote high retention and satisfaction levels.
  • Work alongside sales and marketing teams to identify new business prospects and broaden market reach.
  • Ensure the delivery of superior service operations, adhering to industry standards and company policies.
  • Champion innovation in service offerings, utilizing cutting-edge technologies and best practices to sustain a competitive advantage.
  • Promote a corporate culture reflective of Endeavor's core values: safety, honesty, respect, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Identify opportunities for service revenue growth in both existing and new markets through targeted marketing initiatives.
  • Provide strategic counsel to the CEO, analyzing potential opportunities to leverage Endeavor's operational strengths and extensive geographic network.
  • Evaluate current market conditions to uncover growth opportunities, including geography, service offerings, and vertical markets.
  • Encourage team development and inter-company networking to share best practices and foster innovation.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Exemplify visible leadership in promoting Endeavor's safety culture.
  • Assist the CEO in implementing performance management and career development processes for service teams.
  • Support local service leadership in executing business plans effectively.
  • Oversee performance assessments, leadership development, compensation, and succession planning for service leadership roles.
  • Model ethical business conduct and promote a culture of diversity and inclusion.
  • Travel is an essential component of this role, exceeding 50% of the time.
  • Undertake additional duties or special projects as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with Endeavor's policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct and financial policies.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience leading service teams in the commercial fire and life safety sector.
  • Over 5 years of experience managing multiple business units or companies.
  • Operational fluency in analyzing financial and operational business reports.
  • In-depth knowledge of the latest technologies and processes in service and sales.
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required; a Master's or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience in managing large sales teams or leading business units is strongly preferred.
  • Participation in trade organizations is advantageous.
  • Ability to pass comprehensive background checks, including MVR and drug screening.
