The Vice President of Service will act as a strategic leader, collaborating closely with the CEO and other senior executives to ensure alignment with the company’s overarching goals. This position demands a servant leader who excels in enhancing customer satisfaction and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute strategies aimed at increasing service and sales revenue across diverse regional markets.
  • Guide and mentor a team of Operating Company Presidents, ensuring they meet their performance and financial objectives.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with key clients and stakeholders to promote high retention and satisfaction levels.
  • Work in tandem with sales and marketing teams to uncover new business opportunities and broaden market reach.
  • Oversee the provision of top-tier service operations, ensuring adherence to industry standards and company policies.
  • Encourage innovation in service offerings by leveraging cutting-edge technologies and best practices.
  • Promote a corporate culture that embodies the values of safety, honesty, respect, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Identify growth opportunities in existing and new markets through targeted marketing efforts.
  • Provide strategic counsel to the CEO regarding potential opportunities, utilizing the company’s scale and resources to enhance service growth.
  • Analyze market conditions to pinpoint growth opportunities, including geographical expansion and service diversification.
  • Encourage networking and development among operating companies to share best practices and foster collaboration.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate visible leadership in promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Assist the CEO in implementing performance management and career development processes for service teams.
  • Support local service leadership in executing business plans effectively.
  • Oversee performance assessments, compensation, and succession planning for service leadership roles.
  • Uphold a culture of ethical business practices and lead by example.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion within the workplace.
  • Travel is a requirement, exceeding 50% of the time.
  • Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies to avoid conflicts of interest.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in leading service teams within the commercial fire and life safety sector.
  • Over 5 years of experience managing multiple business units or companies.
  • Proficient in interpreting financial and operational business reports.
  • Thorough understanding of contemporary technologies and processes in service and sales.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience in managing large sales teams or business units is highly desirable.
  • Participation in trade organizations is a plus.
  • Ability to pass comprehensive background checks, including MVR and drug screening.
