Key Responsibilities

The Vice President, Research Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of the Product Specialist Group within the Investor Relations team by spearheading all research activities within the organization. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Developing expertise on the firm’s history, investment strategies, products, structures, performance metrics, and competitive landscape to bolster global fundraising efforts.
  • Conducting thorough research on market trends, industry advancements, and competitive positioning to enhance investor communications.
  • Collaborating with Investor Relations team members to establish and refine research methodologies and strategies.
  • Working alongside other Deerpath divisions to collect and analyze firm and market data for marketing materials.
  • Performing in-depth research and analysis concerning the Private Credit/Direct Lending market, including trends, performance, and competitive dynamics.
  • Leading the preparation of quarterly and ad hoc updates related to Deerpath and the broader market.
  • Monitoring and analyzing economic indicators, private market occurrences, and overall financial performance.
  • Synthesizing complex market trends and effectively communicating findings to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Creating ad hoc marketing materials that support fundraising and client service initiatives.
  • Generating whitepapers, reports, and research analyses for distribution to current and prospective investors.
  • Utilizing external databases, platforms, and publications to substantiate research conclusions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record.
  • A minimum of 10 years in financial services, including at least 5 years in research roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of alternative asset funds is essential.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to foster relationships across various functions within the organization.
  • Self-driven and proactive, capable of working independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
