Position Overview

Role Description

We are in search of a motivated, innovative, and passionate individual to represent our products in the healthcare sector. This role involves the promotion and sale of various medical supplies including exam gloves, durable medical equipment, incontinence solutions, surgical kits, and more. The target clientele includes healthcare professionals such as directors, operating room staff, ICU personnel, and materials management teams. The position reports directly to the Divisional Sales Manager.

We are looking for a driven and dedicated professional who thrives in a dynamic corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with hospitals within the designated territory to market and sell products;
  • Delivering impactful sales presentations to multiple stakeholders to facilitate product and program sales;
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers;
  • Introducing and promoting new products while sustaining existing business relationships;
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach across the healthcare continuum;
  • Exhibiting leadership qualities and the ability to finalize sales;
  • Preparing bids and pricing proposals;
  • Occasionally conducting cold calls to explore new market opportunities.

Compensation Overview

  • Medline Industries, LP, along with its subsidiaries, provides a competitive total rewards package, ongoing education and training, and significant growth potential within a global organization.
  • The expected earnings for this role include a guaranteed income of $150,000 for the first year, with commission opportunities ranging from 0-4% of net sales. This position is also eligible for bonuses. Medline ensures compliance with applicable minimum wage or salary standards.
  • Our benefits package encompasses health insurance, life and disability coverage, 401(k) contributions, paid time off, and more for employees averaging 30 or more hours per week. For those working fewer hours, benefits include 401(k) contributions and access to various employee support programs.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree along with a minimum of 2 years of sales experience in a quota-driven environment, demonstrating proficiency in cold calling and full-cycle sales, or at least 5 years of relevant sales experience.

Experience Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of business-to-business, outside sales experience is essential;
  • Proven track record of sales growth and meeting quotas;
  • Ability to present a variety of product lines effectively;
  • Strong communication and organizational skills;
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Excel, Word, and Outlook;
  • Due to the nature of the role, the ability to drive and travel extensively is required.
