Job Overview

Agronomy Operations Supervisor

Position Overview:

Oversee the daily functions of the Agronomy facility. Provide insightful recommendations to farmers that enhance customer satisfaction and crop productivity, while also boosting the cooperative's market presence and operational efficiency, in alignment with the cooperative's vision and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management

  • Supervise a comprehensive agronomy service, including both dry and liquid fertilizers, seeds, seed treatments, crop protection solutions, and custom application services.
  • Recruit, guide, and mentor both full-time and part-time personnel essential for the operation of the facility.
  • Oversee staffing, safety training, and performance assessments to enhance and regulate operations.
  • Educate employees to comply with state, federal, and organizational safety and regulatory standards.
  • Formulate a strategy to ensure accurate billing and accountability for all products and services provided.
  • Continuously enhance and showcase expertise in the role.
  • Promote W3Global Inc by fostering a positive image and demeanor.
  • Maintain a friendly, courteous, and helpful attitude at all times.
  • Ensure a clean and professional appearance.
  • Utilize time and resources effectively.

Marketing Initiatives

  • Build and sustain relationships with key industry stakeholders and community partners.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, distributors, and internal teams.
  • Adapt to the evolving market landscape while identifying customer requirements and directing resources accordingly.
  • Safety and Environmental Compliance
  • Adhere to W3Global Inc's safety and environmental protocols and current industry standards.
  • Maintain open communication with the VP of Agronomy Operations regarding employee and environmental matters.
  • Monitor staff and working conditions to ensure adherence to safe work practices.

General Responsibilities

  • Enforce W3Global Inc's credit policies.
  • Maintain transparent communication with team members and the VP of Agronomy Operations.
  • Set personal performance objectives and strive to achieve them.
  • Enhance training through on-the-job learning, attending workshops or seminars, and reviewing product and industry literature as directed by Executive Leadership.
  • Execute tasks as assigned by the VP of Agronomy Operations and VP of Seed & Agronomy Sales.
  • Comply with the policies outlined in the employee handbook.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited institution; one to two years of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
