Mechanic

Responsibilities:
* Inspect, troubleshoot, install, and maintain systems and components
* Work to drawings, schematics, and work specifications using modern techniques and tools of the trade
* Instruct others, when called upon, in all phases of work to support department goals
* Review technical and industrial signs, manuals, and labels
* Maintain information on time sheets and other records
* Communicate regularly with co-workers and supervisors
* Participate in work planning walk downs and work-hour estimating
* Perform on-the-job training (OJT) for other craftspeople, participate in maintenance assessments, and perform material procurement tasks as required
* Perform work to proper work control and document and record work performed
Qualifications:
* High school diploma, or equivalent, and 5 years of related work experience, a 2-year vocational training program and 3 years of related work experience, or a recognized trade apprenticeship and 2 years of related work experience
* Must have valid state driver's license for duration of employment
* This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy \"L\" clearance, which requires US Citizenship
