Key Responsibilities- Inspect and Maintain Systems: Conduct regular inspections of mechanical systems and components to identify potential issues and perform maintenance tasks as needed.
- Install and Troubleshoot Equipment: Install, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of mechanical equipment and systems, including pumps, valves, and piping.
- Work with Drawings and Specifications: Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, and work specifications to ensure accurate and efficient completion of tasks.
- Train and Mentor Colleagues: Provide on-the-job training and guidance to other team members to support department goals and objectives.
- Maintain Records and Reports: Accurately document and record work performed, including time sheets and other relevant information.
- Communicate Effectively: Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth communication and coordination of tasks.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and 5 years of related work experience, or a 2-year vocational training program and 3 years of related work experience, or a recognized trade apprenticeship and 2 years of related work experience.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid state driver's license for the duration of employment.
- Security Clearance: This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
- Competitive Pay: $43.04/hour (rate can vary based on individual work location, clearances, and qualifications).
