Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee technological advancements and ensure project completion within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Design, develop, analyze, document, and facilitate testing of various products, systems, or subsystems.
  • Independently manage technical projects from inception to completion.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
  • Review and interpret customer specifications and requirements to create optimal designs, factoring in cost as a critical design element.
  • Contribute to budget, cost, and scheduling inputs for design tasks.
  • Document specifications and material requirements for components and subsystems.
  • Conduct design analyses as required.
  • Specify and assess supplier components, subsystems, and services.
  • Support design initiatives aimed at cost efficiency and manufacturability.
  • Develop prototypes to mitigate key development risks.
  • Communicate effectively with manufacturing, supply chain, program management, and customers as necessary.
  • Engage actively in the preparation of complex and significant proposals.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to fellow engineers and support staff.
  • Collaborate with technical management and other professionals to coordinate and recommend actions regarding technical activities and progress.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and mastery of technologies within the field.
  • Demonstrated experience across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • This position necessitates an active DOD security clearance or the capability to obtain such clearance promptly after employment commencement.
