Position Summary
We are on the lookout for a skilled Electrical Engineering Team Leader to become part of our Hardware Engineering Department. This role is based in Beavercreek, OH, and involves supervising a diverse team of Firmware and Electrical Engineers while providing technical leadership for ongoing projects and internal research and development initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to engineering excellence and a genuine passion for mentoring and developing talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in the design, development, modification, and analysis of various electronic systems, which may encompass Hardware, Power Engineering, Electromagnetic Engineering, and Integrated Circuit Engineering.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in existing products or systems, implementing necessary modifications.
- Compile and assess design and testing data, analyzing and recommending design strategies.
- Oversee a team of engineers, ensuring project completion within budget and on schedule.
- Independently manage a technical group and provide guidance on project tasks.
- Administer budget, cost, and scheduling inputs for design assignments.
- Drive design initiatives to meet cost and manufacturability requirements.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients as necessary.
- Participate in proposal preparation and lead engineering, customer, or business meetings.
- Support and uphold the organization's mission, values, and culture.
- Manage and supervise engineering teams and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven ability to lead and direct experienced engineers.
- Experience in managing customer-funded programs and internal research and development.
- Proficiency in digital hardware design, interfaces, and architectures.
- Understanding of project management and technical estimating.
- U.S. Citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain an active DOD security clearance.
