About this position:

Wells Fargo is looking for an Operations Manager to join the Currency Transaction Regulatory Reporting Group (CTRRG) within the Chief Operating Office (COO). This group is tasked with the timely and precise submission of Currency Transaction Reports to FinCEN, adhering to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and cultivate one or more specialized teams focused on customer service and operational functions within a complex and high-risk environment.
  • Formulate strategies to enhance staffing processes, ensuring specialized functions comply with regulatory standards to support risk management and compliance.
  • Engage with stakeholders and internal partners within the Operations sector.
  • Independently address moderately complex issues and projects.
  • Identify potential areas for process enhancement and risk control development, escalating concerns to senior management as necessary.
  • Provide training, performance evaluations, and coaching for less experienced team members.
  • Make informed decisions and resolve operational issues to meet business objectives.
  • Interpret and establish policies and procedures for operational functions with low to moderate complexity.
  • Take responsibility for budget management and financial performance.
  • Collaborate and influence professionals at all levels, including senior management.
  • Lead the team towards achieving operational goals.
  • Manage the allocation of personnel and financial resources for Operations.
  • Mentor and guide the development of direct reports and assist in the recruitment of new talent.
Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in Operations or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience in Currency Transaction Reporting.
  • Familiarity with Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Act regulations.
  • 2+ years of management experience, including coaching, training, and mentoring.
  • Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience in motivating staff to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and achieve goals under pressure.
  • Ability to influence, collaborate, and build partnerships across all organizational levels.
  • Skilled in identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements.
  • Experience with systems such as Actimize, Hogan, and Electronic Journal.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Job Expectations:
  • Adhere to established standards and applicable regulations.
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
  • Willingness to work on-site as required.
  • Standard schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible start times.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Assist with production-related tasks, including validating batch completions and identifying aging transactions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support the team with research and analysis using various computer systems and applications to identify reportable currency transactions.
  • Implement controls to monitor business processes effectively.
  • Timely escalation and resolution of issues to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct complex research while maintaining production and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with internal partners to achieve CTRRG objectives.
  • Contribute to new business initiatives as necessary.
