About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Insurance Placement Specialist to join our team at US012 Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC. As a key member of our Business Insurance team, you will play a critical role in delivering purposeful work and meaningful impact to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with our Placement Team to develop and implement strategic placement plans for assigned accounts, providing expert guidance and support to ensure optimal results.
  • Collaborate with our Service Team to prepare and submit proposals, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Provide market analysis and recommendations to our Marketing Team and Producers, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and underwriters, negotiating terms and conditions to secure the best possible coverage and pricing for our clients.
  • Assist with analyzing coverage options, comparing quotes from multiple markets, and reviewing existing client insurance programs to identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders to manage expectations and provide timely updates on placement progress.
  • Process and follow up on outstanding documentation to ensure seamless placement processes.
  • Request and oversee follow-up for changes from underwriters, reviewing coverage specifications to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with new and renewal placements, providing insight into retention strategies to help clients retain their business.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a related field, with a proven track record of success in placement and account management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop creative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
  • Strong market knowledge and understanding of business insurance products and services.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
