Position Overview: The role involves ensuring the thrift store operates at optimal levels while fulfilling daily responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all merchandise displays are well-stocked and organized to enhance sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the management team to assess and accurately price items for sale.
  • Efficiently process all incoming merchandise in accordance with established protocols.
  • Engage in daily tasks such as restocking shelves, racks, and tables to facilitate sales.
  • Learn and assist in training on the complete processing system, including cash register operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including all surfaces and displays.
  • When necessary, assist customers by wrapping and bagging their purchases.
  • Consistently deliver excellent customer service by being courteous, prompt, and aligned with the mission of The Salvation Army.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Supervisory Role: This position does not involve supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications: A high school diploma or GED is required. Previous experience in retail or cash handling is preferred but not mandatory.

Skills Required: The following qualifications are essential for this role:

  • Ability to adapt and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic computer proficiency to access payroll and personal information through web-based systems.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to foster positive working relationships.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment.
