As a billing coordinator, you will be part of a diverse team committed to delivering exceptional patient care and service.

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced billing coordinator to join our team in Ithaca, NY. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for recording and auditing daily charges, preparing invoices for discharge, and ensuring accurate estimates/deposits have been received.

This position also involves coordinating with clients to resolve financial concerns and cross-training with other client services areas. You will work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to ensure seamless communication and high-quality patient care.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in customer service or a related field
  • 2-4 years of demonstrated customer service experience, preferably in retail sales, banking, or reception/clerical work
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on compassion and empathy
  • Familiarity with MS Office software and willingness to learn new systems
