Human Resources Specialist

Mastronardi Produce Limited is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Laredo, Texas. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for supporting and managing employee relations, including acting as a liaison between employees and management.
Key Responsibilities- Create and administer onboarding programs to educate new hires on HR policies and internal procedures.
- Ensure compliance with I9 Employment Eligibility Verification and monitor implementation of policies.
- Take disciplinary action with employees who violate policies and address employee concerns.
- Conduct investigations, compile information, and propose resolutions of issues between employees and/or management.
- Manage attendance systems, administer points programs, and coach employees.
- Advise management on labor policies and practices, including development, application, and interpretation.
- Represent Mastronardi Produce Limited in unemployment cases.
- Assist in the implementation and rollout of recognition and retention activities.
- Complete special projects by clarifying objectives, setting timetables, conducting research, and ensuring successful execution.
- University or college HR degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of related HR work experience required.
- Knowledge of Human Resources disciplines, Employment Standards Act, Privacy, and Human Rights.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent level of confidentiality with employee and company information.
- Normal office environment.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Position requires sitting, standing, walking, and bending on a regular basis.
- Must have manual dexterity to perform computer skills.
