Position: Resident District Manager
Location: University of Houston

In this role, you'll lead operations for a high-volume, multi-unit account, overseeing residential dining, retail dining, and catering programs. Your leadership will ensure top-tier service, cost efficiency, and exceptional quality standards, all while driving profitability and building strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations to ensure top-quality service, adherence to regulatory requirements, and resource availability.
Strategic Leadership: Drive the development and implementation of key projects and initiatives, aligning with both client and Chartwells' strategic goals.
Financial Accountability: Manage financial outcomes, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, to maximize profitability.
Client & Community Engagement: Serve as a face of Chartwells, building and maintaining strong relationships within the district and the community.
Team Development: Mentor and develop your team, conducting performance evaluations and succession planning to ensure ongoing success.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of three (3) years of management experience, preferably in foodservice or hospitality management
  • Is well-versed in all aspects of foodservice management with a proven track record of success
  • Has proven track record of leading a business and a team, strong customer service, and good business and financial acumen
  • Demonstrates strong initiative, critical thinking, ownership, communications (listening, written, and verbal), multi-tasking, prioritization, and organization skills
  • Champions the inclusion mindset, and is proactive, positive, professional, and resilient
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and POS software
