Role Summary:

The Anti-Trafficking Services in Orange County, operated by The Salvation Army, is dedicated to providing comprehensive support to survivors of human trafficking. This role emphasizes trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and survivor-focused case management and advocacy.

As an Anti-Trafficking Case Manager, you will work under the guidance of the ATS Manager to deliver culturally appropriate case management services to individuals who have experienced human trafficking. Your efforts will help survivors regain their dignity, autonomy, and safety, paving their way toward self-sufficiency. You will oversee the daily operations of the anti-trafficking program and ensure that all services for referred survivors are effectively implemented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Trauma-Informed Care practices proficiently.
  • Conduct client intakes to assess eligibility for program enrollment based on established criteria.
  • Regularly meet with clients to monitor and discuss their progress.
  • Assist survivors in accessing public benefits, medical care, counseling, legal services, and long-term housing options.
  • Support grant reporting requirements for the Survivors of Human Trafficking Program.
  • Act as the primary case manager for survivors, ensuring timely access to comprehensive social services, including medical, mental health, legal, and housing resources.
  • Work towards achieving program goals, enhancing community collaboration, and increasing the identification and support of survivors.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement and service providers to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Develop personalized safety and service plans in collaboration with survivors.
  • Provide direct case coordination and assessment for all eligible clients referred to the program.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all services provided and ensure compliance with procedures.
  • Participate in the 24-hour Crisis Response Team to assist in the initial intake and assessment of potential trafficking victims.
  • Engage in public awareness initiatives and outreach efforts.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports and data entries in a timely manner.
  • Support The Salvation Army's anti-trafficking policies and maintain confidentiality of all client records.
  • Provide administrative support as needed.
  • Transport clients to appointments and provide crisis management as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Survivor Support Advocate to ensure the safety and support of the safe home environment.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis. Candidates must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field, with a preference for a Master's degree in Social Work.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in case management for trafficking survivors or similar populations.
  • Bi-lingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • A strong commitment to the well-being and recovery of human trafficking survivors.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience in client assessment, case planning, and management.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed and culturally sensitive service provision.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including public speaking.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
  • Organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
