The HR Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the human resources function at Gyu Kaku Japanese BBQ. This entry-level position is responsible for carrying out various tasks in the following areas: recruitment, staffing, organizational development, company policies and procedures, employee relations, training, labor law, benefits, and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Recruitment and Staffing: Assist in the recruitment and hiring process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and conducting interviews.
- Performance Management: Support the performance management process, including creating performance evaluations, setting goals, and providing feedback.
- Employee Relations: Foster positive employee relations by responding to employee inquiries, resolving conflicts, and providing guidance on company policies and procedures.
- Benefits Administration: Assist with benefits administration, including maintaining employee records, processing benefits enrollments, and communicating benefits information to employees.
- HR Filing and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files and HR records.
- Reporting and Analytics: Prepare periodic reports for management, as necessary, to provide insights into HR metrics and trends.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in human resources or a related field.
