Job Overview

The Event Coordination Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring exceptional hospitality and a memorable experience for guests. This position encompasses comprehensive training in event services and is pivotal for the successful execution of various events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate within a team to facilitate both private and public events.
  • Engage professionally with all tiers of management and staff.
  • Oversee vendor logistics, including setup, breakdown, and cleanup of events.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, caterers, and planners to guarantee outstanding customer service.
  • Coordinate efficiently across different departments to ensure seamless event operations.
  • Complete necessary event documentation, incident reports, and address any vendor-related issues.
  • Monitor event activities to ensure client and attendee satisfaction.
  • Assist in managing on-site production and cleanup as required.
  • Ensure adherence to the organization’s cashier policies.
  • Accurately process sales transactions and maintain financial accountability.
  • Manage the setup and breakdown of point-of-sale terminals and bar areas.
  • Record all transactions accurately and inform guests of their charges.
  • Report any inventory shortages or issues with guests promptly.
  • Prepare and serve beverages responsibly, adhering to all service policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
  • Return unused products to their designated storage locations.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of alcohol service training (TIPS certification or ServSafe Alcohol).
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational skills are essential.
  • Capability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
  • Attention to detail and proficient mathematical skills.
  • Professional interaction with the public is a must.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to work varied schedules.
  • Exceptional communication skills for guest interactions.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Standing and walking for the majority of the workday.
  • Occasional lifting of items up to 20 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
