Position Summary
The Kaizen Specialist is tasked with spearheading ongoing enhancement initiatives with suppliers to boost safety, quality, efficiency, and overall operational performance. This position requires close collaboration with suppliers to apply KPS (Lean) methodologies, facilitate Kaizen events, and promote sustainable advancements. The ideal candidate will possess a profound comprehension of KPS principles, outstanding problem-solving capabilities, and the aptitude to cultivate cooperative relationships with suppliers. Additionally, this role encompasses educating buyers on KPS and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster a culture of trust and continuous improvement within the team and with suppliers.
- Support suppliers during enhancement initiatives and act as a liaison between suppliers and internal teams.
- Monitor the progress of Kaizen activities and ensure follow-up on action items.
- Utilize Kaizen tools to optimize processes.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams, providing necessary support and sharing information.
- Assist in organizing and leading regular meetings and workshops with suppliers to exchange best practices and drive continuous improvement.
- Conduct periodic training sessions for buyers regarding KPS and manufacturing processes.
- 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management, manufacturing, or process improvement roles.
- Solid understanding of Lean principles and experience in facilitating Kaizen events.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, employing a data-driven approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
- Willingness to travel frequently to supplier locations.
- Certification in KPS, Lean, Six Sigma, or related continuous improvement methodologies.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Extensive knowledge of Kubota products.
