Job Overview

The Event Coordination Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring a memorable experience for guests by providing exceptional hospitality services. This position requires expertise in all facets of event management and is accountable for the seamless execution of events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate within a team to successfully manage both private and public events.
  • Engage professionally with various levels of management and staff.
  • Supervise vendor logistics, including setup, breakdown, and cleanup of events.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, caterers, and planners to guarantee outstanding service.
  • Coordinate efficiently across different departments to facilitate event operations.
  • Complete necessary event documentation, incident reports, and address vendor-related issues.
  • Monitor event proceedings to ensure client and attendee satisfaction.
  • Assist in on-site production management and cleanup as required.
  • Adhere to cashier policies and accurately process financial transactions.
  • Manage the setup and breakdown of point-of-sale systems and bar areas.
  • Document all transactions through the point-of-sale system and ensure proper payment processing.
  • Report any inventory shortages or issues with guests promptly.
  • Prepare and serve beverages while ensuring compliance with alcohol service regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment.
  • Return unused products to designated storage areas post-event.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of alcohol service training (TIPS certification or ServSafe Alcohol).
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Capacity to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with the public.
  • Strong listening and communication skills.
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Majority of the time spent standing and walking.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
