Position Overview:
This role acts as a financial business partner to Barry-Wehmiller's corporate functions and the head office of Packaging.

Collaboration with the Corporate Finance Team is essential to streamline and standardize processes while enhancing operational efficiencies throughout the organization.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Oversee the general ledgers for corporate and packaging head office, including several foreign holding company entities, ensuring transactions are recorded and balances reported in compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.

2. Provide expertise and support to accounting staff to guarantee timely and accurate transaction recording; review team members' work as necessary.

3. Manage the month-end closing process, including the preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations/analysis in accordance with monthly and quarterly closing schedules.

4. Prepare and/or review monthly consolidated financial statements, management reports, and quarterly bank covenant reports while conducting monthly financial statement reviews, research, and analysis.

5. Assist in coordinating the corporate and packaging head office budget process and monthly forecast updates, and manage the monthly budget-to-actual analysis.

6. Lead and coordinate the external audit and annual report preparation processes.

7. Design and implement efficient and effective processes, enhance existing accounting policies and procedures, and identify and execute process improvements as part of continuous improvement initiatives.

8. Address inquiries and provide accounting support/guidance to finance teams across various operating divisions.

9. Assist with purchase accounting and the integration of accounting and reporting activities for acquisitions.

10. Lead and support special project work, ad hoc financial analysis, and embrace new opportunities as they arise.


Qualifications:
1. Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and a keen desire to learn and enhance processes.
2. Demonstrated understanding of U.S. GAAP.

3. Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with team members across all organizational levels.

4. Ability to engage with the necessary financial acumen with division accounting, operations, treasury, tax, and auditors as required.

5. Strong numerical/analytical skills, project management capabilities, and problem-solving aptitude.

6. High integrity, accuracy, and dependability.

7. Focus on continuous improvement and act as an effective change agent.

8. Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.

9. Experience in identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives.


Education and Experience Required:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
2. CPA certification.
3. 3-6 years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility, ideally a blend of public accounting, corporate-level accounting, and/or manufacturing industry experience (multinational/multicurrency and supervisory experience preferred).
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel skills being a plus.
5. Familiarity with OneStream Consolidation software and/or Infor XA/Mapics ERP software is advantageous.
