About the Position:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to oversee the Capital Markets Reconciliation Center of Excellence. This role focuses on providing oversight and support for reconciliation processes, specifically in fixed income and equity trading, as well as operational assistance for Foreign Exchange, Securities, and Accounting Operations. A key responsibility will be ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the General Ledger and the System of Record GL and Stock Record.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer expert consultation to senior leadership on financial accounting issues.
  • Execute complex tasks to maintain the integrity of financial records, including general ledger and stock record accounts that influence financial statements and regulatory filings.
  • Collect and analyze financial data for reporting purposes.
  • Prepare and assess account reconciliations and operational workflows for exception resolution, process enhancement, or improved controls.
  • Evaluate projects related to financial accounting methodologies, procedures, or systems.
  • Conduct ongoing financial control activities in line with internal control policies.
  • Deliver functional guidance and training to team members.
  • Support compliance and risk management initiatives.
  • Engage and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Operations, or Risk Reporting, or equivalent experience through a combination of work history, training, military service, or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Over 4 years of experience in reconciliation and exception resolution, particularly using automated reconciliation tools for both general ledger and stock record in fixed income and equity products.
  • Familiarity with Broadridge Suite of products (Impact, BPS GPTM) and settlement clearing organizations (DTC, GSCC, NASD, FICC) in operational or reconciliation roles.
  • Knowledge of fixed income and equity products, including associated accounting, settlement, and corporate action processes.
  • Proven ability to take initiative, identify opportunities for process improvements, and implement effective changes.
  • Possession of a Series 7 license.
