Key Responsibilities- **Month-End Closing and Reconciliation**: Assist with month-end closing activities, including reconciling general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting. Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts.
- **Payroll Processing**: Process payroll and maintain employee files, ensuring accurate and timely payment.
- **Financial Reporting**: Prepare monthly financial statements and quarterly reports. Assist in the preparation of financial statements in a timely manner.
- **Accounts Receivable and Payable**: Manage customer invoicing, process payments, and handle general accounts receivable tasks. Process vendor payments, maintain weekly cash flows, and manage accounts payable.
- **Transaction Review**: Review transactions for accuracy and compliance with internal control policies and procedures, as well as consistency with external reporting requirements (e.g., GAAP).
- **Inventory Management**: Oversee inventory management, including adjustments, purchase orders, and item receipts.
- **Other Duties**: Perform additional tasks as assigned by management to support the overall efficiency of the accounting department.
- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred but not required.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2 years of experience in processing payroll. Minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory management.
- **Skills**: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and work independently. Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
