Compensation Analyst

At the American Medical Association, we are seeking a highly skilled Compensation Analyst to join our Human Resource team. This is a hybrid position that requires 2-3 days a week in our Chicago office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and communicate compensation programs, policies, and processes.
  • Conduct market analysis to evaluate roles and compensation programs.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Business Unit Managers on compensation-related issues.
  • Develop and write accurate job descriptions aligned with best practices.
  • Build base salary compensation recommendations.
  • Participate in annual compensation surveys.
  • Administer and execute annual merit and incentive process.
  • Create data analysis based on current compensation structure and data.
  • Prepare legally required analysis.
  • Collaborate in developing and implementing compensation program communications materials.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Finance-related area.
  • Five+ years of related work experience in human resources or finance.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with sensitive information and maintaining confidential information.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service and collaborative orientation.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in final work products.
  • Experience in working with an HRIS or financial system.
  • Competence in maintaining and creating tables and reports in a relational database.
