Job Title:
Senior Electrical Engineer Associate

Job Overview:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer Associate, you will be responsible for determining design methodologies and parameters essential for project success. Your role will involve conducting system evaluations to assess the feasibility of designs while adhering to time and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Utilize advanced modeling tools and equipment to gather operational data, perform experimental tests, and analyze results.
2. Select components and equipment based on thorough analysis of specifications and reliability metrics.
3. Conduct simulations and facilitate design reviews with fellow engineers.
4. Develop scripts to enhance synthesis and build tools.

Digital Engineering Focus:
Design, analyze, and modify FPGA and programmable hardware. You will also be tasked with creating complex Circuit Card Assemblies that support various photonic subsystems and integrated communication systems for our clients.

RF Engineering Responsibilities:
Engage in RF/Microwave device testing and evaluation, including s-parameter and large signal load pull characterization, as well as modulated signal measurements. Familiarity with commercial RF design and analysis tools is essential for this role.

Photonics Engineering Duties:
Design, analyze, and evaluate optical communication systems and their components. This includes RF Photonic systems and subsystem-level components.

Antenna Engineering Tasks:
Design and assess antenna systems and their components. Utilize design tools such as HFSS, CST, and MATLAB, and evaluate antennas in specialized environments.

Hardware Design Verification:
Develop and modify tests to confirm the operational integrity of various products. Analyze and evaluate compliance with requirements using tools like network analyzers and LabVIEW.

Optical Engineering Activities:
Conduct optical design and analysis on advanced systems, including telescopes and unique optical test sets. You will develop optical budgets and perform compliance analyses to ensure adherence to specifications.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with VHDL, HFSS, DSP, MATLAB, and communication systems is highly valued. Strong communication, technical writing, and presentation skills are essential for success in this role. Familiarity with various computing environments is also beneficial.
