Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Exhibit a professional attitude and demonstrate interest in M/E's reputation and growth.
  • possess a high level of competence in all conventional aspects of electrical engineering.
  • Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in independent evaluation, selection, adoption, and modifications of standard techniques and procedures.
  • Collaborate with senior management to finalize project scope and schedule of deliverables and understand priorities identified.
  • Apply advanced practices and techniques, adjust and correlate data, recognize discrepancies, and follow projects through program, schematic, design development, construction document, bidding, and construction phases.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and review work, schedules, and assign work to meet completion dates.
  • Develop reports, studies, and system analysis.
  • Work in an efficient and effective manner and make informed decisions.
  • Evaluate the application of substitute equipment.
  • Review final adjustments of equipment and systems after installation.
  • Communicate with clients directly, except in controversial matters.
  • Represent the firm at meetings and cover all trades, which may require further follow-through.
  • Assist on projects by other engineers and/or designers.
  • Estimate workforce needs and schedules, and assign work to meet completion dates, and update the project manager as to status and resources available.
  • Mentor and train younger engineers and designers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Possess a Professional Engineering License (P.E.) or Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) working toward P.E. Licensing.
  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent.
  • Eight years of experience in responsible charge of project design in respective discipline plus advanced courses, training programs, or seminars relating to engineering and management.
Compensation
  • The compensation range for this position is $87,360 to $120,000 per year.
