The South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (DDSN) is a state agency that provides services for individuals with severe, lifelong disabilities.

Job Responsibilities

As an Administrative Specialist II, you will provide administrative support to the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Eligibility clinical/evaluation staff. Your duties will include:

  • Scheduling and coordinating appointments and meetings
  • Providing excellent customer service to individuals and families
  • Managing supplies and equipment for ASD Eligibility staff
  • Participating as a team member and providing backup support to other staff

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma and at least four years of administrative clerical work experience
  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written
  • The ability to work cooperatively with families, professionals, and the public

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Microsoft Office and current office management practices is preferred. You will also need to possess excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work professionally and effectively with the public.
