Job Overview

DT Professional Services is seeking a seasoned Business Line Director to lead the growth and development of our Professional Services business line. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, overseeing business operations, and ensuring the successful execution of our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the Professional Services business plan, aligning with corporate goals and objectives
  • Establish and manage business line goals, ensuring seamless execution across all levels
  • Identify and pursue strategic business opportunities through internal and external partnerships
  • Oversee the operational, financial, and contractual aspects of the business line, ensuring efficient and effective execution
  • Manage and monitor subcontractor performance and equitable work distribution
  • Define, implement, and drive mission-critical strategic and operational initiatives
  • Monitor and manage customer relationships, providing thought leadership on business process improvement
  • Assist with employment, training, mentoring, motivation, discipline, and performance evaluation of assigned employees
  • Continually enhance job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, sharing professional publications, and maintaining professional networks and organizations
Requirements
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or Civilian Public Trust security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a Technical Discipline or a Business Degree with a concentration in Technology Management, and/or Management and leadership
  • 7+ years' of technical and supervisory experience in the management of multi-task, multi-function projects within the Department of Defense or Federal contracting environment
  • 5+ years' experience managing programs or projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing, developing, evaluating, and supporting teams of 15+ technical and non-technical personnel
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Department of Defense and/or federal procurement practices
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills, including an understanding of business economics and financial resources
  • Experience in preparing reports and briefings
  • Demonstrated analytical and time-management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work as an active member of a senior leadership team
  • Demonstrated mastery of verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect, and interact with all levels of an organization and/or potential customers
  • Demonstrated ability to professionally and confidently communicate with Executives, customer / partner / company
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience managing a technical and non-technical team or organization of 50+ personnel with P&L responsibility
  • Master's Degree in a technical or business discipline
  • 3+ years' business development experience to include opportunity identification, capture, teaming, proposal development, and proposal review
  • PMP Certification

Compensation range: $100k - $200k annually.
