Job Overview

Prairie Band, LLC & Subsidiaries is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee a significant Federal road initiative. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing all site operations, ensuring project milestones are met, and serving as the primary point of contact for all project-related inquiries throughout the contract duration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire construction workflow from project inception to completion, including estimating, contract negotiation, and financial management.
  • Engage with clients and design teams to clarify project specifications, enhance client satisfaction, and promptly address any issues.
  • Secure and manage all necessary building permits and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and project proposals, ensuring clarity in the scope of work.
  • Utilize advanced scheduling software to establish and maintain project timelines.
  • Develop strategies for both self-performing and outsourcing project tasks to meet objectives regarding cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts and purchase orders to align with project goals.
  • Identify potential issues proactively and facilitate effective solutions.
  • Conduct regular project meetings and document progress.
  • Implement appropriate project control measures, including change order logs and submittal tracking.
  • Monitor project expenditures to maintain budget compliance and manage changes in work scope.
  • Prepare monthly requisitions and maintain communication with vendors regarding financial matters.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with contractual obligations and legal standards.
  • Administer client-specific programs, including quality control and safety protocols.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Document substantial project milestones and manage the closeout process efficiently.
  • Facilitate training and mentorship for project team members.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
  • Experience with Federal contracting is essential.
  • Strong understanding of architectural, engineering, and construction principles.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years in construction supervision, with at least 3 years in a project management role.
  • Demonstrated experience in estimating and managing both self-performed and subcontracted work.
  • Professional credentials such as Engineer in Training (EIT) or Associate Constructor (AC) are preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with architectural, mechanical, and heavy civil work.
  • High proficiency in construction-related software and tools.
  • Current safety certifications, including OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR.
  • CQC certification from USACE is a plus.
  • Possession of a General Contractor's License is advantageous.
