PCL Construction is seeking a skilled Project Surveyor to join our Civil Infrastructure team. As a Project Surveyor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Quantity Takeoffs and Surveys: Perform and apply quantity takeoffs and surveys to manage contract progress, reporting, and change management.
- Contract Administration: Maintain contracts with complex subcontracted scopes and administer subcontractors, including defining work scope, answering inquiries, and monitoring progress.
- Project Start-up Activities: Assist site managers in project start-up activities, including reviewing and understanding broader contract obligations.
- Subcontractor Management: Participate in reviews of subcontractors' submittals for compliance with scope, design documentation, and coordination with other disciplines.
- Site Inspections: Assist with site inspections by the design team for installation deficiencies and witness and sign off on systems commissioning.
- Risk Identification: Identify potential risks on project scopes and/or the project.
- Education: Associates or Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 4-6 years of construction experience in an operational role preferred.
- Skills: Detailed knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, project health, safety, and environment (HSE), quality, building materials, and required standards.
- Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Flexibility: Proven flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Planning and Organization: Planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize own work, and direct-report tasks.
- Technology: Proven understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and internal operational systems with a strong skills for embracing new technology.
