Job Responsibilities

Every member of the Team & Family at KIPP Tulsa Public Charter Schools plays a vital role in equipping our students with the skills and confidence to pursue their chosen paths in higher education, careers, and beyond. Our educators passionately advocate for students and families, ensuring access to opportunities. As a Teacher, you will deliver exceptional instruction, evaluate student progress, and provide academic and cultural support to your school and team.

As a KIPP Tulsa Public Charter Schools Teacher, your primary responsibilities include:

  • Designing comprehensive, Oklahoma State standards-based unit plans and lesson plans tailored to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
  • Utilizing assessment data to modify short and long-term plans to enhance academic performance for every student.
  • Welcoming feedback for ongoing improvement.

Academic and Cultural Support:

  • Collaborating with content and grade-level teams to promote critical thinking and academic rigor.
  • Establishing and maintaining trust-based relationships with students and families.
  • Participating in daily school functions and essential events such as staff meetings and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Creating individualized learning plans for students, effectively communicating with families.
  • Consistently meeting professional commitments and deadlines.

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Technology from an accredited four-year institution.
  • Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate with necessary subject and level certification.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the assigned core subject area.
  • Successful completion of a background check.

*Applicants pursuing certification may apply prior to its receipt. Certification must be obtained and submitted to KIPP Tulsa within the first year of employment.

Compensation and Benefits:

This is a Full-Time, 10-month teaching position. Employees can access employer benefits such as health, dental, life, and disability coverage, along with participation in Oklahoma Teacher Retirement plans.
