Job Description

The Professor of Pedagogy will be responsible for teaching undergraduate pedagogy courses and serving on university, college, and department committees. They must demonstrate a commitment to the education profession through presentations at the P-12 and collegiate levels, participate in research to stay current in the field, and demonstrate an ongoing commitment to teaching excellence.

    • B.Ed. in Secondary Education students
    • Evaluate students and their academic progress
    • Advise students regarding coursework, time management, and assignments
    • Advise M.Ed. in Teaching students
    Requirements
    • Education:
      • Master's degree in P-12 teaching or administration and several hours completed toward an Ed.D. or Ph.D.
      • 5 years of P-12 teaching and/or P-12 administration experience
      • Experience in teaching at the higher education level
    • Experience/Skills/Abilities:
      • Strong pedagogical content knowledge and skills
      • Supervision skills of internship candidates
      • Knowledge of integration of technology skills during classroom teaching
      • Strong oral and written communication skills
      • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and database software programs required
      • Demonstrate excellence in teaching
      • Show commitment to integrating coursework into the learning process
