Executive Chef

The Assistant Chef is a key member of the culinary team, responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of all kitchen staff in conjunction with the Chef. This role serves as the BOH leader in the absence of the Chef and is trained to assume the Chef position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure 100% guest satisfaction
- Monitor breaks and staffing, checklists, and pre-shift meetings
- Supervise food preparation, production, and service in all areas of the kitchen and line
- Record delivery of merchandise and properly file invoices
- Conduct interviews, make hire recommendations, and complete new hire paperwork
- Conduct performance reviews and supervise the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen
- Enforce compliance of all safety & security procedures
Requirements:
- Minimum two years related fine dining food, beverage, and service experience in a $4+ million full-service upscale restaurant
- Knowledge of inventory systems, controls, and analysis
- Knowledge of labor cost systems and analysis
- Fluent use of the written and verbal English language
- Strong initiative and ability to work on your own and direct others
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus
Benefits:
