POSITION OVERVIEW

The Corporate Communications Coordinator plays a vital role in the organization by supporting the planning, development, and dissemination of communication initiatives in conjunction with the Corporate Communications team and relevant stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role is integral to the Corporate Communications team, ensuring that all communication efforts align with AAR's mission and objectives. The individual will be tasked with crafting and producing content, nurturing relationships with both internal and external partners, and facilitating the enhancement of AAR's communication strategy.

  • Act as a primary resource for all company-wide internal communications and video production.
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of long-term strategic communication planning.
  • Generate written content for executives and curate submissions from various locations for the Company Intranet and media outlets.
  • Capture photographs of company events and personnel, and assist in the creation of videos for internal use and potential social media sharing.
  • Collaborate with various departments as necessary.
  • Aid in monitoring general, industry, and social media trends.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to effectively fulfill each essential duty. The qualifications listed below are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

  • Outstanding writing, editing, and presentation capabilities.
  • Solid editing experience, particularly with AP Style guidelines.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while responding to urgent needs and meeting deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.
  • Professional demeanor, courteous, and receptive to feedback.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience in developing communication plans.
  • Video editing skills are advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a publicly-traded company is a plus.
  • Experience collaborating closely with senior management is beneficial.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing.
  • 1-3 years of full-time experience in a related role.
