Position Overview
The Marketing team at Schweitzer Mountain Resort is on the lookout for an enthusiastic individual who shares a love for winter sports and outdoor activities. This role serves as an excellent entry point into a rewarding career within the outdoor recreation marketing sector.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the marketing team with crafting engaging content for various platforms including advertising, website, and social media.
- Ensure the accuracy of marketing materials through thorough proofreading.
- Conduct regular audits of the website and app, making necessary updates and performing biannual reviews.
- Manage social media interactions, including responding to comments and guest inquiries.
- Collaborate with the creative team to organize and maintain content libraries and coordinate photo requests.
- Help organize small-scale photo and video shoots at the resort.
- Stay informed about trends in the outdoor and hospitality industries to keep the team updated.
- Analyze competitor strategies to enhance marketing efforts.
- Work alongside the Marketing team and Special Events Manager to meet sponsorship obligations with various brands.

Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with photography or videography is a plus.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, and other relevant software is preferred.
- A self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a keen eye for detail.
- A genuine passion for the outdoor recreation industry is essential.

Experience and Education
- This is an entry-level position; however, prior experience in marketing, writing, or the outdoor recreation field is advantageous.
- A background in skiing or snowboarding is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.

Additional Requirements
- Valid driver's license, insurable by the company.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.

Physical Demands
- Ability to lift 20 lbs or more and stand for extended periods.
- Strong skiing or snowboarding skills in various conditions are necessary.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Review Process
- Performance evaluations will occur after the initial six months and annually thereafter.
